ABASI NATION · GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
A homeland footprint comparable to a small country in area—and a mid-sized country in population
This page compares scale only. Abasi Nation is APOL’s 38-LGA cultural and research homeland footprint within Nigeria; it is not presented as a sovereign state or an official census jurisdiction.
POPULATION SCALE
Countries within the 15–25 million range
World Bank 2024 population figures. The green band is the Abasi Nation planning range (a planning range, not a count); the marker is its 20 million midpoint for orientation only.
LAND-AREA SCALE
Countries closest in land area
Country land area uses World Bank 2023 data. Abasi Nation’s displayed area is calculated from APOL’s constituent administrative-boundary polygons.

HOW TO READ THIS
Comparable scale does not mean equivalent status
The 38-LGA footprint occupies roughly the land area of Timor-Leste, Eswatini or Kuwait. If the population lies within 15–25 million, its human scale resembles several established countries.
It does not establish sovereignty, legal nationality, a census count, ethnicity, residence, or membership for any person. The population band remains a research and planning assumption until supported by governed evidence.
SOURCES AND METHOD
Auditable comparison basis
- World Bank — Population, total: 2024 values sourced from UN Population Division and national statistical systems.
- World Bank — Land area (sq. km): 2023 values sourced from FAOSTAT.
- APOL 38-LGA boundary explorer: 15,607 km² calculated from locally stored constituent polygons; shared internal borders do not affect area.
Figures are rounded for display. Population bars use 25 million as the scale maximum; area bars use Kuwait’s 17,820 km². The 20 million midpoint is a visual guide, not a separate estimate. “Complete” means every non-aggregate country or economy in the World Bank catalog that has a reported value for the stated year and falls below the threshold; regional, income-group and world aggregates are excluded.
