Abasi People Online (APOL) · Abasians App
Automation supports the work. People remain the voice.
APOL is a leadership platform for the Abasi People: Ibibio, Annang, Efik, Oro, Ekid, Ekoi and
Obolo/Andoni. It helps leaders see their homeland, reach the people they hold with one message,
and see the result. This page says plainly which parts are automated and which are not.
Population figures
Every population figure is a research-time aggregate from reviewed public sources, shown with
its basis and date. Where a figure is split into recognized-name matches and “not matched”, the
split is a research estimate from a reviewed reference of names — not verified ethnicity,
membership or identity. Small counts are withheld; a missing figure is never shown as zero.
The guide
The BOT on every page is a guide that answers from APOL’s own pages and can open a place or a
step for you. It does not write your messages, does not decide anything for you, and never
presents itself as a person, leader, elder or official representative.
Your message
The message you send is written by you. APOL shows you exactly who it will reach and what it
will cost, and sends only after you confirm. SMS and WhatsApp are sent by APOL on your behalf
as a named sender; Telegram, Instagram and Facebook open in their own app with your text ready.
Your contacts
Contacts you add are yours. They are not added to the research population, not shown to other
leaders, and not merged into any shared list. The consent you record is honoured, and anyone
who asks not to be contacted is honoured from that moment on.
Maps
Boundaries are APOL’s locally stored research copy of public administrative boundary data,
drawn over a live Google map where one is available. They are approximate, for learning only,
and do not decide land ownership or legal boundaries.
What is never inferred
APOL never infers any individual person’s identity, ancestry, ethnicity, political affiliation
or residence — not from a name, not from a place, not from a message.
